Home

Over 3,000 miles on the car in two weeks. 7 different beds over 14 nights. Lots of great time with friends and family. Lots of good time for us to be together. We had a great vacation, and now we're home and ready to get back into the swing of things here.

A few pictures. I'm sure Catherine will post more later.

Us seeing the sights (?) in Gatlinburg, TN. I had just finished my chocolate milkshake from Ben and Jerry's. I think I had about 20 more of those during our vacation. They're quite healthy.

Catherine with (L-R), her Aunt Jody, her Oma, and her Mom.

Catherine with her Oma and Opa, on the deck of the Mountain Lodge the whole family stayed in, right on the border of the Smoky Mountain National Park.

Riding go-carts in Pigeon Forge, TN (the home of "Dollywood" which we unfortunately didn't get a chance to visit...)

That's the "Museum of Salt and Pepper Shakers" in Gatlinburg. Again, our schedule seemed to be too full to accomodate a visit to this museum, affectionately known to Salt and Pepper shaker fans as "Mecca."

Catherine sitting next to my parents at dinner in Orlando. We were all together for dinner that night (Tim and Sarah, and Matt and Sarah are across the table.) What you can't see is the jalapeno pepper that my Dad had just spit out, while my brother Tim and I succesfully ate them.
Us in Pembroke Pines, FL, with (L-R), my cousin Craig, Uncle Randy, cousin Kelly, and Aunt Mary. Just wrapping up a quite competitive game of "Apples to Apples." I believe Kelly won. It's because she's a teacher and teachers love apples. To apples.

The view from our balcony in Corolla, NC. To native Corallians, it is pronoucned "Cor - all - uh." To Northern Virginians vacationing in the Outer Banks (most of whom have the obligatory "OBX" sticker on their cars), it is wrongly pronounced like the car. FYI.

Us. (L-R), Catherine, Jamie.

The last night of our vacation - looking past the dunes at the ocean with the full moon shining on it. It was beautiful!
